About BARC
The Born Again Rehabilitation Centre (BARC) is a registered voluntary non-profit making organization founded on 21st June 1999 by a group of like-minded individuals. The organization has been implementing a 15- Bedded Integrated Rehabilitation centre for Addicts (IRCA) at Meizailung, Ukhrul District, Manipur under grant-in-aid from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, New Delhi under the Scheme for Prevention of Alcoholism & Substance (Drugs) Abuses.
Our Projects
Outreach and Drop in Centre Project (ODIC)
The ODIC is a community-based facility for substance users. Outreach and Drop in Centre Project (ODIC) under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR 2018-2023) under the National Institute for Social Defense, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has been implemented by Born Again Rehabilitation Centre (BARC) in Ukhrul District of Manipur. The ODIC is located at Leiyaram, Ukhrul District Manipur.
Community Based Rehabilitation On Persons With Disabilities (CBR)
BARC strived to promote the rights and welfare of disabled persons in Manipur. Youths and disabled persons are the primary beneficiaries of the organization. BARC currently managed a programme, entitled Community Based Rehabilitation on Persons with Disabilities (CBR) to promote the welfare and rights of disabled persons in Ukhrul. The Ministry of Social Welfare and Empowerment, Government of India and Caritas International are key funders for the organization.
